Golis Engineering Consultants Corporation is a Sacramento-based firm providing geotechnical investigation and design, foundation recommendations, construction materials testing, and construction inspection. We serve public agencies, utilities, prime consultants, developers, and contractors across Northern California.
Every project has direct involvement from our principal engineer, from the first site visit to the final report.

Abdikarim brings more than 25 years of experience with Caltrans and UC Berkeley's University of California Pavement Research Center (UCPRC) in geotechnical engineering, materials testing, pavement research, and construction inspection.
At Caltrans, he served as Acting Branch Chief of the Concrete Materials Testing Branch and as a project engineer in the Office of Geotechnical Design North. There he prepared and reviewed foundation reports for highway bridges, railroad structures, retaining walls, and buildings. He also served as Senior Resource Liaison (Acting) for Geotechnical Design North.
He founded Golis Engineering to bring that public-sector depth (Caltrans test methods, specifications, and QA/QC programs) directly to clients and project teams.
